For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>cultural system is integrated in an environment<\/strong> with a series of needs. In addition, it must help to its proper conservation and underline the importance of the climate emergency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In <strong>Agenda 2030<\/strong> it underscores how, thanks to culture, it is easier to adopt a global point of view about sustainable development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Culture, as such, is related to<\/strong> and depends on systems such as health or education, inter alia. If they all take the environment into consideration, the result will be more satisfactory.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any <strong>cultural service<\/strong> must include, in its initial design, structure and functionality, aspects related to <strong>sustainability<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does SDG 17 indicate?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the goal that is most related to the cultural system. Its basic principles are summarised in the following factors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Improving cooperation<\/strong> between different countries, facilitates access to <strong>culture<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Promoting cultural technologies and systems<\/strong> that enable developed countries to help those that are in a development stage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Creating a technology bank<\/strong> to promote its use and make <strong>sustainability culture<\/strong> known.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><br><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How can the cultural system achieve the different SDGs?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The common denominator of any of the actions must be the total <strong>sustainability<\/strong> of the sector. It is important to value that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Each system entails many actors<\/strong> whose action has to be coordinated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A global plan<\/strong> must be drawn up to achieve the goals of the quality education proposed (<strong>SDG<\/strong> 4), decent work and economic growth (<strong>SDG<\/strong> 8), reduced inequalities (<strong>SDG<\/strong> 10) and everything related to peace, justice and strong institutions (<strong>SDG <\/strong>16<strong>).<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Key for sustainable cultural action<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to achieve the <strong>sustainable development goals<\/strong> from cultural action, as UNESCO indicates, what available options have to be evaluated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Those <strong>related to material heritage<\/strong>. Such is the case of libraries, museums, archives, archaeology and monuments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Those that manage <strong>intangible heritage<\/strong>. The study of tradition, festivities, handicrafts, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Performing arts<\/strong> such as painting, sculpture and photography.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Musical arts, cinema, literature<\/strong> and audiovisual <strong>culture<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Architecture and design<\/strong>, which should not break the natural balance of the more direct environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Digital and communication media<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Advertising<\/strong> (particularly, the advertising carried out in physical media which could alter the ecosystem surrounding it).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on the corresponding option, the system of choice must have the following properties:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Generating individual or group skills<\/strong> that connect with the cultural and historical roots of each community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Selecting <strong>cultural management<\/strong> that adapts to the sustainable development indicated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>system contributing to maintain the balance with the environment<\/strong> and promoting respect for the environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Guaranteeing cultural rights<\/strong>, always respecting the free and cultural expression of every person.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Promoting solidarity<\/strong> and commitment when defending fundamental rights, as explained in <strong>SDG<\/strong> 17.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Ultimately, <strong>culture and the SDGs<\/strong> go hand in hand when designing cultural plans and activities that bear in mind the environment in which they are implemented.
