A short play by Javier Liñera and Aitor Pérez.
This show is born as a response to a reality we are living.
We have been observing for some time now how totalitarian policies are beginning to spread throughout Europe. We see how xenophobic, racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic ideas… are beginning to have a greater presence in European society and are gradually taking hold. And, as the protagonists of the work, we do not want to stand idly by. As creators and artists committed to the times we live in, we believe that we have to give voice to this situation.
That is why in this piece we make a criticism – indirect and not pamphleteering – of the ideas of totalitarian politics and the loss of empathy they promote, turning the “other” into an enemy, but we also talk about gender, the forgetting of history, old age and wisdom, coexistence and otherness.
