BBK ARTEGILEAK EXHIBITION
Artistic residency in social centers in Bizkaia promoted by the BBK Foundation and coordinated by ANTespacio
Photographic exhibition.
The project “Classrooms in action against the climate emergency. Alternatives to the development model from the decolonial feminism of the defenders of the Orinoquía” by Misiones Salesianas, Solidaridad con América Latina, and Fundación Corazonistas brings us the photographic exhibition “AMAZONIA, narratives from the territories.” A visual journey that invites us to reflect on the Amazon as a key territory for the balance of the planet and, at the same time, as a space of struggle and resilience for the peoples who inhabit it. Edu León, a renowned Spanish photographer who has worked with international organizations such as the Red Cross, UNHCR, Amnesty International, and Intermón Oxfam, among others, shows us from his perspective the natural, cultural, symbolic, and political wealth of the region, as well as the threats it faces and the strategies of defense and resistance it embraces, challenging the public on the urgency of its defense, protection, and the creation of alliances.
