“Otras Infancias” invites us to journey through the lives of children from different contexts around the world, guided by renowned photographers such as Michel Pedrero (finalist in World Press Photo 2022) and Benito Pajares (winner of World Press Photo in 2006).
In this selection of photographs, we will visit countries as diverse as Sudan, Myanmar, India, Botswana, and Madagascar. After the journey through Michel Pedrero’s lens, we will travel to the reality experienced by thousands of children in Madagascar with the photographs of Benito Pajares. Benito Pajares takes us to places where children are dragged into labor exploitation, having to contribute to the family economy by performing physically demanding tasks such as breaking stones, carrying bricks, or transporting water cans.
