To paraphrase Sister Angela Davis, “there is not one feminism, but many. Effective feminism has to fight against homophobia, class, race and gender exploitation, capitalism and imperialism”. On Saturday 26 November we are organising this conference, which will consist of two round tables: the first, “Afrofeminist consciousness in black youth”, in which three young black women will talk about Afrofeminism in different spheres. And the second “Silenced voices, denied resistances” in which we will listen to the voices of feminism in the so-called “the others”.
