This exhibition presents some of the results obtained through an educational innovation project developed in the Graphic Design classrooms of the UPV/EHU’s Faculty of Fine Arts.
A project that forms part of the commitment acquired by our public university with respect to the call to action proposed by the UN General Assembly through various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

To address the poignant background of the SDGs, we need means of knowledge that bring us closer to and enhance our senses and our perception of complex realities. Artistic sensitivity, involved in the communicative function of graphic design, makes it possible to establish an approach and dialogue with the background of life. And so it will be possible for emotion to emerge, which can end up deriving into feeling. In this sense, there is something that must always be present: it is one thing to know, but it is also one thing to be able to know how to use it.
one thing is to know, but it is quite another thing to feel what one knows.

Through their textile printing, T-shirts have nowadays become a mirror of society and of the people who wear them. In this sense, in this project, T-shirts assume the social role of a “blackboard” on which to “teach” messages and through them “teach” in a sensitive way how to join in the commitment to the sustainable development of our society. Together with the images they teach, these T-shirts are intended to become portable tools of expression in the public space, where they aim to activate the will for change.

Curatorship and organisation of the exhibition: Leire Fernández Iñurritegui and Eduardo Herrera.
