Guided by artist William Turner and through his work "Ulysses Deriding Polyphemus” we will discuss how the coronavirus pandemic has had an impact on the welfare state.
The workshop on resilience and welfare state mechanisms proposes the double objective of discussing and reflecting on the impact of the coronavirus pandemic from an institutional perspective as well as from the experience lived by citizens. In order to do this, we will have, on the one hand, the presentation of the first impact analysis results of the pandemic on the welfare state including democratic governance models and, on the other, the first results on the fieldwork carried out in the provinces of Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa.
