Interview series: Internet and sexual violence
Present and future of arts education.
UN Etxea -Basque Country Association for UNESCO joins the celebration of the International Week of Arts Education by organizing the VII edition of the Seminar Education, Arts and Citizenship, dedicated to arts education from a present and future perspective. The seminar will take place on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm in the Sala Ganbara of BBK Kuna (Urazurrutia, 3, Bilbao).
With this seminar we want to convey the message that access to a wide range of cultural and artistic expressions, experiences and teachings is essential to be able to exercise the right to participate in, contribute to and enjoy cultural life and the arts, which in turn opens the doors to individual and social well-being. This involves, among other things, ensuring that cultural and arts education is present in schools as and when appropriate, and also proposing quality formal, non-formal and informal education so that vocations and professional careers linked to culture and the arts can emerge and take root, including the provision of diversified cultural content.
The seminar is supported by the Directorate of Human Rights, Victims and Diversity of the Basque Government and BBK Kuna – La Casa de los ODS.
Objective
The objective of the Seminar is to get to know each other, recognize each other, reflect, dialogue together, strengthen ties and create bridges between creative, cultural, social and educational agents, in order to advance in the identification of obstacles and challenges, as well as opportunities and proposals for improvement in artistic and cultural education in our territory.
Therefore, once the seminar is over, a report of the seminar will be written, which will be added to the path that we will take from UN Etxea to Mondiacult 2025 – World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development (Barcelona).
